Restrictions & Rules

House Rules
Outside catering not permitted
All food and beverage must come through Hotel Paradox. Wedding cake or dessert from a licensed, insured bakery is the only exception.
In-house AV required
All audio-visual must be coordinated through the hotel's in-house AV company. Outside AV vendors are not permitted.
No amplified sound outdoors
Amplified music is not permitted in outdoor areas, the hotel lobby, the restaurant, or the bar. A decibel meter will be used to enforce volume; events that exceed limits may be shut down.
Day-of coordinator required for ceremonies
Ceremonies require a professional day-of wedding coordinator. The hotel does not provide this role.
Outdoor poolside deck curfew
Events on the South Poolside Deck must end by 10:00 PM.
Decoration restrictions
Decorations cannot be affixed to walls, floors, or ceilings with tacks, pushpins, nails, staples, tape, or any substance that may leave a mark. Damage results in a fee.
No glitter, confetti, or debris
Items that require significant cleaning are not permitted.
Fog and smoke machines prohibited
Fog and smoke machines are not allowed in any space.
Event-guest self-parking restricted
Self-parking is reserved for overnight hotel guests only ($15/vehicle/night). Valet for event guests is included in reception/ceremony pricing; valet for ancillary events (brunches, after-parties, rehearsal dinners) is billed separately at roughly $1,100–$1,800 flat per event.
