Press Kit
Everything you need to write about The Registry accurately. Methodology in one click, a real human to email, and a fast turnaround on press requests.
What we are, in one line
The Registry is a community project public dataset of real wedding pricing, contributed anonymously by couples after their wedding and paired with vendor data (e.g. capacity, URLs, etc.) compiled from public sources.
What we are not
- Not a booking platform or marketplace.
- Not a directory monetized by sponsored vendor listings.
- Not a lead-gen referral business.
Methodology
Our full methodology is documented at /how-it-works. The short version:
- Median (not mean) is the headline summary, because wedding pricing is skewed.
- Anonymous by design: no account, no email, hashed IPs for rate limiting only.
Citing The Registry
We are happy to be cited and quoted. We ask for two things:
- Link to the specific page that contains the number you are citing, not just the homepage. Our market and vendor pages have stable URLs.
- If you are publishing a derivative chart or table, note the sample size and the date of the snapshot. Numbers move as more couples submit.
